MCSJ Personal Property Billing will assist the municipality in billing and collecting revenues associated with vehicles, boats and any other items taxed.

Integration - Personal property items being taxed can be imported from file provided by the county or can be manually adjusted by system users.  Once the property updated the system can calculate and print the invoices as well as recording the proper revenue entries in the MCSJ Finance Super Suite general ledger.  On-line cash receipting will also post to the general ledger once the cash drawer is verified.

Track Property Values - Whether importing the values from a third party product or manually adjusting the value of the properties, the system allows the users to view changes on-line or in report format.  Some values are discounted or have “relief” values associated with them.  MCSJ Personal Property has the ability to track these values and calculate the taxable amount on the net value of the item.

Vehicle IDs & Decals – Any piece of property that requires a decal or tag, let MCSJ Personal Property Tax Billing store and track the decals.  Decals can be transferred form old items to new items, renewed or even replaced (all fees are defined by the organization).

Invoice Creation - MCSJ Personal Property Tax Billing has three different methods for generating and printing invoices (bills).  One method allows the user to generate invoices based on the previous years invoices, every customer receiving an invoice last year will receive one for the current year.  Invoices can also be created based on a third party file provided (i.e. county assessment file).  Lastly invoices can be generated and/or printed individually.

Delinquencies – Interest and/or penalties are user defined.  Whether your organization charges per diem interest, one-time penalties, penalty on penalty or a combination of the group, MCSJ Personal Property can apply the penalty or interest, print aging and delinquent reports and print delinquent notices directly from the application.
